We plan every trip ourselves, work with guides and porters we know by name, and stay with you from your first message until you fly home.
“Far fewer trekkers than in the Everest region, and the Tamang villages were so welcoming. The view from Kyanjin Ri over the glaciers is breathtaking.”
Anna R., Spain · Langtang Valley Trek
“Turquoise lakes, Gokyo Ri at sunrise and far fewer people than on the main trail. Our guide timed every day perfectly around the weather.”
“We trekked with our two children aged 10 and 12. Short days, friendly lodges and an amazing sunrise from Poon Hill. Our guide was wonderful with the kids.”
“Exactly the wild, remote trek I was hoping for. The permits and logistics were all handled for us, and Larkya La was the highlight of my year.”

Nepal can be visited all year. Autumn and spring bring the clearest mountain views; winter is quiet and crisp; during the monsoon we recommend tours and rain-shadow treks.

Trek into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, a glacial amphitheatre ringed by peaks of 6,000 to 8,000 metres. Starting from the lakeside city of Pokhara, this 11-day trek climbs through Gurung villages, terraced fields and bamboo and rhododendron forests, past the sacred Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) to Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 m. On the way back, soak your legs in the natural hot springs at Jhinu Danda.

ViewOne of the world’s great walks: a full loop around the Annapurna massif from lush subtropical valleys to the high desert of Mustang. Over 15 days you pass Tibetan-Buddhist villages around Manang, cross the Thorong La pass at 5,416 m, visit the pilgrimage temples of Muktinath and finish with sunrise on Poon Hill and a soak in the hot springs of Tatopani. Dramatic changes in landscape and culture make every day different.

ViewThe perfect short trek for first-timers and families. In a week from Kathmandu you walk through terraced hills, rhododendron forests and friendly Magar and Gurung villages to Poon Hill (3,210 m), where sunrise lights up a 180° panorama of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. Low altitude, comfortable lodges and short walking days make this an easy introduction to the Himalaya.

ViewThe closest big-mountain trek to Kathmandu. Just a day’s drive north, the Langtang valley climbs from bamboo forest where red pandas live to the yak pastures and glaciers around Kyanjin Gompa. Meet the Tamang people, taste fresh yak cheese, and climb Kyanjin Ri (4,773 m) for views of Langtang Lirung and the peaks along the Tibetan border. Quieter than Everest and Annapurna, and perfect if you have one week.

ViewA short, spectacular ridge trek from Pokhara to the base of Mardi Himal, right under the sharp summit of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). In five days you climb through moss-covered rhododendron forest above the clouds onto open grassy ridges, with Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Fishtail filling the sky. Small lodges and quiet trails make it one of the best short treks in Nepal.

ViewA wild, remote circuit around Manaslu (8,163 m), the world’s eighth-highest mountain. Opened to trekkers only in 1991, this restricted area keeps its authentic Nubri and Tsum Tibetan culture, ancient monasteries and dramatic river gorges. The 14-day route climbs from the Budhi Gandaki valley to the Larkya La pass (5,106 m) and descends into the Annapurna region, with far fewer trekkers than the classic routes.

ViewA quieter, more scenic alternative to Everest Base Camp. Leave the main trail at Namche Bazaar and climb the Dudh Koshi valley to the turquoise Gokyo Lakes beside the Ngozumpa Glacier, the longest in the Himalaya. From the summit of Gokyo Ri (5,357 m) you see four of the world’s six highest mountains (Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu) in one sweeping panorama.
