These terms apply to every trek, tour and safari you book with Tripnep. Please read them before you send a booking request.
1. Booking
A booking request is not yet a confirmed booking. We confirm availability and the final price in writing (by email) within 24 hours. Your booking is confirmed once we have received your deposit.
2. Payment
We send the payment details and the deposit amount with your confirmation. The remaining balance is due before the start of your trip. Prices are per person in Nepali rupees (NPR) unless stated otherwise.
3. What is included
Each trip page lists exactly what is and is not included in the price. Anything not listed as included, such as international flights, visas, travel insurance and personal expenses, is not included.
4. Changes by you
You can move your trip to a new date free of charge up to 15 days before departure, subject to availability. Later changes are treated as a cancellation.
5. Cancellation by you
- 30 days or more before the start date: full refund of what you paid, less bank charges.
- 15–29 days before: 50% refund.
- Less than 15 days before, or no-show: no refund.
Permits and flight tickets already bought on your behalf cannot be refunded. Unused services during the trip (for example, leaving a trek early) are not refunded.
6. Changes and cancellation by us
Travel in the Himalaya depends on weather, road and flight conditions. We may need to change an itinerary for your safety; your guide will always choose the safest alternative. If we cancel a trip before departure for reasons within our control, you can choose a new date or receive a full refund.
7. Travel insurance
Travel insurance is required for all treks. It must cover the maximum altitude of your trip, including emergency helicopter evacuation, medical treatment and trip cancellation. Any rescue or medical costs are your responsibility and should be claimed from your insurer.
8. Health and fitness
You must be in good health and fit enough for the trip you choose, and tell us about any medical conditions when you book. Your guide may stop you from continuing if your health or safety is at risk.
9. Your responsibilities
Please follow your guide’s instructions, respect local laws, customs and the environment, and carry a valid passport and visa.
10. Privacy
We use your personal details only to organise your trip, as described in our privacy policy.
11. Questions
If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us before booking.
